Running Base
The running base was born in the Alps, France with the purpose of providing perfect supplies and service for runners especially runners of trail running. In 2011, the world’s first running base was established by French Trail Running Association together with Chartreuse National Park and local government.
Till now, there have been 15 running bases in the Alps and the Pyrenees. According to statistics, each base receives an average of 6,000 people per month. And most of the runners regard it as a pretty innovative concept also a good way for tourism promotion.
